Inspired by the choreography of the female body in the Horror genre, the presentation of female bodies in media, and true crime tales, the dancer in True Story transforms from a Diva into a Monstress, and then emerges on the other side in a complex choreography of both characters that calls into question the reliability of persona as an adequate representation of personhood.
